I need opinions/reviews of bronze faucet finishes. Are they bad? If you have bronze, please give feedback?

I am trying to decide which faucet finish I would like in my home. Looking at basic chrome, brushed nickel and bronze. I originally thought I wanted bronze and was not going to consider another finish, until the plumber I am working with told me I would have nothing but troubles with the bronze after a year or so. He cited water spots that would not come off, even if installing a water softener as we do have very hard water in our area. Although the manufacturer (Delta) offers a lifetime warranty on the finish, he says I will have trouble getting help from them for something that is not a “defect” and it will eventually be so much of a hassle I will wish I had chosen something else. My second choice is the brushed nickel, but it is more expensive than the bronze and I’m already over budget! The chrome may end up being my choice, but it is used everywhere, and I would really like something different…plus I don’t want to constantly be cleaning water spots. Any advice?
what do you think?

How will black granite countertops look with very dark cherry cabinets?

Craig G asked:

We like a very clean, simple look, but are trying to get the wow factor out of the custom cabinets we are having built. The appliances are stainless still and the faucet is going to be brushed nickel. The floor in the kitchen will be a medium color wood. There are 6 windows in the kitchen, so the kitchen getting dark will not be a problem. Any help if this will look good or any other ideas of a different color granite would help.
